Get out of my head! Or at least give me an intellectual property credit for invading my brain!

If I haven't made it clear enough, I am OBSESSED with the West Wing. OB.SESSED. I spent both Saturday AND Sunday, hung over, being of very little help to my sister's party planning due to my excessive hangover, and peppering my day with West Wing, West Wing, and MORE West Wing.

Over a very decadent and wine-soaked dinner, earlier in the week (a week ALSO spent watching at least 2-3 West Wings a night) I started in on my friend Tara with my 'West Wing is the greatest show ever made and they can tell the future' pitch.

Bravo has been airing all of the culturally relevant episodes from the final season of WW where a little known Democratic Congressmen, Matt Santos (played by a super hot Jimmy Smits - He never ages!) defeats the candidate who seemed to be a lock for the Democratic nomination and runs for President against Arnold Vinick (i heart Alan Alda) who is a very moderate Republican.

Their debates, ideas, and speeches are so right now that it is chilling. I have been rambling about these parallels to anyone who can bear to hear me go on about how Aaron Sorkin is not only a genius, but that he can apparently see the future.

(I can also go on a bender about my serious crush on Josh Lymon -- there will eventually be an I heart Josh Lymon section of this website, and possibly the creation of the real life incarnation of LemonLymon.com for the other die hards out there)

Anyway, after hearing my shtick, Tara sends me this:

http://www.nytimes.com/2008/10/30/arts/television/30wing.html?_r=1&ei=5070&emc=eta1&oref=slogin

Read it, it is super interesting. It also affirms that I am incredibly smart, observant, deep, and that watching as much television as I do does not in fact rot my brain but raises me to the intellectual level of a New York Times writer. Naturally, a job offer is welcome at any time. Surely they need a West Wing correspondent.
